How to Customize Your Discord Stream Alerts
Every StreamBruh notification has its own message and button. Write them in any language, insert live stream details with variables, and use the custom emojis of your server.
Step-by-step setup
Open a notification
In the dashboard, open Twitch or Kick and choose a game or streamer notification. Each notification keeps its own text, so different channels can receive different messages.
Write the main text with variables
Type the message in Main text or Message. Variables are replaced when the alert is posted: {user} is the streamer name, {game} the category, {title_stream} the stream title and {url} the stream link.
Discord formatting works in your own text, such as **bold** and line breaks. Text that comes from the stream, such as its title, is always shown as plain text and never mentions anyone.
Add server emojis
Select Server emojis to insert custom emojis from your server at the cursor, including animated ones. Only emojis your bot can use in that server are listed.
Set the button label
The button opens the stream. Write a label of up to 80 characters and, if you want, choose one server emoji to show before it.
Save and run a check
Save the notification, then use Check now to run it immediately. A new alert is posted the next time a matching stream goes live.
Check your setup
- The saved message shows your text and variables in the dashboard.
- The button label has 80 characters or fewer.
- The bot can view and send messages in the destination channel.
Troubleshooting
A variable appears unchanged
Check its spelling and braces. Only {user}, {game}, {title_stream} and {url} are replaced.
An emoji cannot be selected
The bot must be a member of the server that owns the emoji. Standard emojis and emojis from other servers are not supported in these fields.
